Hallowaning

Halloween was actually very mild this year. Most of my friends went to the other coast to celebrate. Since I'm in that dating mood I have been spending it with the Construction Worker. It's all very calm, but the nights go until 3/4 AM. In these days of unemployment, it is fun, but slowing down is in order. He does pay for most of it, which is kind and I appreciate. I do throw in cash every now and then.

Yet, dating the Construction Worker is like having a discount card. I can have a nice meal for 20 bucks instead of $50. I can take taxis home for 5 bucks instead of 30. Of course there is more to him that I like than that.

We went to two mild parties and a bar that was crowded. I asked this homo if he was Bea Arthur and I won the prize of his company to the diner at 2 AM. He was drunk and it was the end of the night. He took of his Dorothy apparel and was wearing gold la-may underneath. Was this supposed to be his sexy outfit underneath? He had a voice that was borderline grating. Now, I am not one to judge people's vocal inflections. I of the loud mouth and the obvious comments. He also was drunk and I was not, yet I was wearing short shorts and here I am making judgements.

It's Fall

I've been getting all the biking I can, while the weather permits. It's been very chilly, but there's something nice about the lack of people I deal with while riding a bike. Not to mention the sweating. The sweating just feels refreshing.

I've been actively applying to jobs daily, which is both annoying and productive. I'm just trying to make my time useful while this trial continues. Hopefully by the end of this week it will end, we are going onto week three.

I went to the Equality March in Washington D.C. I really enjoyed being with my friends and marching to make a point. My favorite speakers were Angela Green and Charles King who spoke on HIV and AIDS. What upset me though was that all the people left after Lady Gaga spoke, and though I liked her little speech, it was nowhere as powerful as the other speakers.

King and Green both talked about the war on HIV and AIDS. How it's not dead and the infection rates will continue increasing if nothing is done. I've decided I am going to write them an email telling them how much their speech affected me, and how I want to partake in this fight. King said at the end of the speech that he was declaring today that AIDS is our fight. I want to help in that fight. We shall see where this brings me. For the first time in months I felt something that made me excited.

This Halloween I am going to be a version of Little Red Riding Hood. This idea came to me because the construction worker affectionately calls me Little Red and I call him the Wolf. He just looks like one, but in the sexist of ways. Unfortunately, all my friends will be in California, so I need to find a place to show off my costume.

My Halloween: An Essay in Two Pictures

...And he lived happily ever after.

The Fourth Little Piggy

Halloween came and went, but it was spent with friends and filled with little quips that are memorable. I will begin my tale from the beginning, as I suppose that is the best thing to do.

I arrived to get ready at my friend’s place. It was a friend of a friend’s place. If I had been informed that the person who had inhabited the apartment (and his boyfriend) had been up the entire night doing drugs and having sex, I would’ve been more quiet. I understand what it’s like to be tweaking out on drugs and want peace. Unfortunately, I hadn’t been informed so I let my voice ring out to the balcony!

My friend was an obscure Superman Villain and I was a SexPig. I called our costumes McCain/Palin, but one would expect I should be so witty. I crossed a line and made a joke about my recent spider bites and the host’s boyfriend, in tweaking glory, jumped up to the farthest corner away from me and screamed, “I will put up with a LOT of shit, but bugs isn’t one of them!”

The pause in the room between myself and him was one for the history books. I let out a laugh and muttered, “It was only...a joke.” He didn’t move, so I countered, “Would you...like me to...leave? The room?” I played the supporting role and took my exit.
On the streets things were calm again. We went to the first of two parties, the first was a Gay Geek’s “Alice in Wonderland” Themed Party. Luckily my hog outerwear allowed to me to take the role of the Pig-Baby the Duchess give’s Alice. Success!

Gay Geek’s are such an interesting breed of people. I see the strange Gay Geek Trait’s I still possess. Seeing them dating is even stranger. Proving that not just a beautiful body will find you love. I don’t know if I’d exchange it for love. Oh, how narcissistic I am!

It wasn’t until the Subway Ride to the next party that the real fun began! We were quickly surrounded by a group of Ghetto Thug Queers. Such a breed is rarely seen, but only on holidays and other special occasions. They surrounded my green partner and I.

“Who is you supposed to be?” One asked.

“I’m--a green man. My friend is a--pig.” We were wary, for the wrong phrasing could be our downfall.

The girls didn’t advance and my friend responded with, “What are you?” They were all wearing wearing various hoodies, sweaters and toile Ballet Skirts. As well as baseball caps on several of the heads, tilted to the side.

“I’m a princess.” The tallest one said softly, I leaned in and asked what she said. Only to discover she was a black boy in drag. Oh the wonders you can see, but only when you’re dressed as a sow. “You have amazing blue eyes!” This observation by them was so quick and took us by such surprise.

“Than-k yo-u.” I breathed and suddenly felt hot in my coat, it had to come off or I’d soon be dripping in sweat. Pig indeed! I started my Gypsy Rose Lee appreciation number and the Ghetto Thug Queers stood transfixed.

“Gurl! Take it OFF!” One shouted and I stripped off the coat and bent over, as only a pig should. The subway car erupted into a flurry of applause and catcalls. I started to snort and they ate it up. I had inadvertently become part of the Ghetto Thug Queer Society without even trying. “That is HAWT!” Another one shouted. Why do I do the things I do?

I suddenly became very aware of how exposed I was on a subway and quickly covered up. I was getting into character, but it’s Halloween. It should happen that way. The parting of my friend and I meant that I was now ready to fend for myself.

I boarded a different train and entered the car, it was hot again, I tried to do it casually. As casual as a boy in pink shorts, pig ears, snout and the words "Sluthole" written on his back can be. The rest of the car caught wind.

“Oh my lawd!” Those black ladies love to make their opinions known. “That’s terrific!” I smiled and snorted again, the movement of the fake nose with my breathing really gave people a laugh.

The train finally arrived and I made my way to the party, the neighborhood looked as if Halloween ended two hours ago. However, a boy in Pig Ears in Brooklyn isn’t an uncommon sight anymore.

I managed to find my way down the streets and arriving at the party. I came upstairs and my friend’s caught a view of me and some made it vocal they enjoyed it. So I began to be as dirty as I could be, that’s what SexPigs do. Lot’s of snorting and grinding of my hips. After about 45 seconds of my outrageous performance I looked around and noticed the entire room was staring, why shouldn’t they be? “He--Hello everyone! How are you?” I shouted and continued to run around the room snorting.

Oh the wonders when you wear a different nose. Why not be a little wild? It’s Halloween and you’re with friends. There was a cute sailor too, he kept looking at me. At that point though, I think it was of him wondering if I was simple.

Better Midler = Halloween

Happy Halloween! It wasn't until 1993 when I saw this movie that I truly knew what it was to be both a Gay Man and a Witch.

Mondays, Midterms and Morose Feelings

My parent's visit brought about the news that my Alcoholic Aunt's possible addiction to "Crack-Cocaine". I had to stop myself before my jaw fell through the floor.

I am well versed in the world of drugs, this is a fact, but to hear that my Aunt is living with a dealer/user, makes me want to call the police because it's only a matter of time before this woman is lost for good.

I suppose it's been about six years since it was revealed to my family about her addiction to Alcohol. She went to rehab about 6 times and has fallen off the wagon every time. I know what "Crack-Cocaine" can turn you into. My parents talked about it as if it were just another issue (my dad put a lot of time and energy trying to help her recover) mainly cause they still think she's just drinking. I hinted that this may not be the case, and that they should watch an episode of Intervention, to get an idea of where she may be heading.

Onto other news though:

I went out to a club with my friends. Oh, the night life. Alcohol and Chelsea Boys! At one point during the night a fierce drag queen anounced:
"Gurl! No one does Cocaine anymore! It's all about E! Oh--Are you getting coke? Gurl! Get me some!"
It's lines like that, which make me love staying up until 6:30 am. It's encounters like this that make me love experiencing Chelsea Boys:
(It's 3:30 AM, last call. IGUANA sits on a couch. He is rolling. He also is bopping his head to the music. A HOT GUY IN GLASSES [HGIG] walks over and begins to address the DRAG QUEEN [DQ sitting next to him. IGUANA watches the following conversation, but says nothing, cause he enjoys watching people act like he's not there.)

HGIG: Does he want to dance?
DQ: Excuse me?
HGIG: Is he alone?
DQ: Yes, he is alone...You know he's right there?

(IGUANA nods his head to the music, smiles and says nothing.)

HGIG: You know, you have great arms!
IGNAUA: Yes, I work out.
HGIG: I love your arms, they're great? You're so hot.
IGUANA: Heh. Thanks.
HGIG: Does he look this way in the daylight, he's so cute! Does he have a boyfriend?

(IGUANA smiles.)

DQ: Yes, he is this adorable in the sunlight. No, he's single. He's still RIGHT there.
HGIG: Do you wanna come home with me? Would you follow me anywhere?
IGUANA:
(Laughs) Where do you live?
HGIG: That doesn't matter. Would you follow me anywhere?
IGUANA: Huh?
HGIG: Would you follow me around the corner?
IGUANA: Uh, sure? Do you live around--
HGIG: That doesn't matter. Here, come dance with me.

(HGIG stands up and walks onto the dance floor. Without missing a beat the DQ says:)

DQ: Follow him!

(Pushes IGUANA onto the floor and he flows behind the HGIG. The HGIG leads him onto the dance floor.)

HGIG:
(Suddenly turns) Want a piece of gum?
IGUANA: Oh. Okay.

(Takes it and pops it into his mouth. Without a moments pause the HGIG grabs IGUANA and presses IGUANA's crotch into his ass. They dance for about 2.5 seconds.)

HGIG:
(Points off into the huge crowd of dancing men.) See those guys? Over there?
IGUANA:
(Not seeing.) Yea, sure?
HGIG: They want to have a five-some.
IGUANA:
(Beat) I'm gonna go sit back down.
HGIG: Aw.

(IGUANA walks back to his chair next to his DRAG QUEEN friend. She is stunned.)

DQ: Gurl! What happened?
IGUANA: He wanted to have a five-some apparently. He sort of just pointed to the entire dance floor and proclaimed it! Plus, he pulled MY crotch to HIS ass. Ha!
DG: Tweaked out freak. Hot, but made one fatal move.
(Laughs)
(BLACKOUT)
Ah, romance. I would never go home with someone I just met at last call. Especially someone who wasn't making any sense. He was indeed hot and a five-some would've lead to an interesting tale. It was just a street I did not want to go down again. I was just on that street only two weeks ago.

I had fun nonetheless. It's good to be with friends.

This year's Halloween Costume is going to be:

Sex Pig; Or A Chelsea Boy

The Goblins will be out...

Though I am not REALLY celebrating Halloween this year since I will be at work and I need to wake up early the next morning. I think I will dress up and go to work...perhaps. I don't really need to, but this weekend I am going to shop and see what I can find.

I have decided what I am going to be. A young Albus Dumbledore when he was at Hogwarts and in his formative years.

Seeing that J.K. Rowling has broken bounds by including a gay character in her legendary series and leaving out God all together, I may as well celebrate this fact. So in case you ever wondered what Albus looked like as a young man, I can answer that easily...

You should see his wand too, long and hard!
