I've grown up around stealing all my life. I realized this yesterday and I am sure other people have witnesses as much stealing as I have in my life. I have seen a cast of characters to choose from as thousands of dollars were taken from my father's closet. I have watched as the thief gets justice over the right parties because they couldn't take being in the wrong.
So when I was stolen from only a week ago. I knew there was a feeling that all this would feel familiar. My iPod Nano has been stolen, from someone in my building. Actually this crime has been fairly easy to settle, but still is strange.
It baffles me that human beings can be so deceitful. That you can actually look me in the face and tell me you didn't steal my iPod. Then later I am to find out that you registered my iPod under your name and address. Tsk, tsk. It's scary though, maybe someone is trying to sabotage you. You did say this has happened to you before. Me thinks she is trying to scam me. . .

The Sunset Gang: Crazies on Parade
I need to archive these. They will make excellent gems someday when I'm older and wiser and a little more calm. Basically when the Xanax arrives. I am all about preservation. Someday it'll be fun to remember and this will make it easier.

Sunset Gang — Remembers Betty Comden
I can't stop. This one was more my roommate's prodding. I can't say no and I have no plans:
No more for a week.
No more for a week.

Two Things: First
I'm going to share two things that have come into my life since moving to Sunset Park, Brooklyn. First is my apartment:
View from my window. Most would hate it, I love the constant dark feeling. Like it's always Sunset or evening.
My family tree. Raul Julia & Zoe Cadwell are my grandparents. Polly Bergen's my mother. Anita Morris is my aunt. And the Lunts are my great grandparents.

Georgia Brown
Nice first night at home with Elizabeth. How grand, how grand! We chatted. It was the first time I had dinner made for me. I'll someday soon return the favor. It was not a night spent on the computer alone.
Enjoy the moments. Tomorrow is my date. We shall see. We shall see.
I need to sleep so I can run 4 miles tomorrow. Yes, 4 miles. And I'm back to morning time gym. How grand, no wait for machines and no crowd. The internship grows close to ending. Grand indeed.
I suppose it's a good thing that my biggest stress is why the iPhone apps won't work. Fuck you iPhone. Fuck you!

More of an Update
So it's all moved. I mean my roommate is all moved. How odd if I write about Elizabeth, she will be reading it from the next room over.
...
...
Well the oddness is aside. Onto life.
So next weekend I will be home. Expect 6.7 posts a day. We're going to six-flags. My mother, my sister, a friend from high school and I. What a weird and interesting outing that shall be. My sister is my next goal as far as being friends goes. With the loss of any chances from my brother goes, I will certainly have to try a different venue.
I had my second date. The third is on Tuesday. That's all I really want to say for now. Oh and that he said, "I want to get to know you and not a virus." I find that steps ahead of where I thought he head is.
I'm trying to gracefully find a way of saying that I haven't dated in about three years so certain rules have been forgotten. Like when he asked me if spending the night on the third date seems right.
*Dramatic Pause*
So this is what dating is really like? No ambiguities? We shall see.

It is Done
Roommate moved in. Date was ultimately successful. Internship still sucks. Podcast is next project. Since my birthday I feel like I'm taking life by the balls and pulling hard. And life totally loves to get it's balls tugged. I'm sure things will go wrong, but when they come I'll be ready (I think.)
Okay, seeing Hellboy II now. Later.

Good Points
Good Point #1: Starting tomorrow I will have my first roommate who is also a friend. This has been four years in the making folks!
Good Point #2: We have Internet at our apartment! They almost tried to pull the same bullshit about there being an account already in existence. Elizabeth did the right thing and put me on the phone with the guy. Where I used my chilling and serious voice and said, "If you don't hookup our modem right now. I will hang you from the highest gibbet." Obviously, the results are there.
Good Point #3: I finished entering over 5,000 difference awards won in the history of Theater into the Playbill.com Award Database. That's pretty much all me folks.
Good Point #4: The man from the other day who needed to think about our second date got back to me and we're going on it in just a few moments. He still unsure of how he feels. I know this is new to him too. What he said that was important was he wants to get to know me more. That's good. It's really me you should be getting to know and not anything else.
I'm wary of the whole situation, so I'm just taking it all at face value. Obviously, this is not a bad thing when one looks at my track record. He used some phrases that signaled red flags, but I understand. So at least he didn't just say no right off the bat. That's points to all parties involved.

Real Entry about Moving
I'm leaving Park Slope soon. It's been a year to remember, I think. I am moving into my own apartment with a dear friend Elizabeth. I'm getting my first lease. My first friend/roommate. My first place I can call my own.
Here I can learn to cook. I can have guys over for sex. I can work on my writing. I can host parties. I can smile. I can proceed to heal. I can have Elizabeth around to keep me company. I can have someone around when I panic. I can live comfortably with a friend. How odd.
It's my time, coming through. I am excited and nervous. I mean it'll be a whole set of rules I'm not used to. Speaking of which, my old roommate. For a year of living together we REALLY never talked, because I'm just discovering that he has no social skills whatsoever. A year in and I discover this. Who knew?
